The
Pacific & American Railroad is a
Virtual Railroad that has its origins in the western part of the United States. Through expansion and trackage rights, we have added routes in the Eastern section of the U.S.A.
and also in Canada, making for a truly International Railroad. To facilitate operations
the Pacific & American Railroad
has been divided into seven divisions. Click on the Division name for more details:
The
Pacific & American Railroad uses
a combination of payware and freeware routes, purchased from
3DTrainStuff,
3DTrains,
Maple
Leaf Tracks, Diesels West
, and
Streamlines. Whitefish 9, Hoodoo
Pass, North Coast Railroad, Clinton, Tennessee Pass, Moffat Ver5, Colorado Joint Line, MacTier 1.5 Sub and now the Bluefield Division routes are
freeware routes available at Train-Sim and here. When you are accepted as an engineer here at the Pacific & American Railroad you will be asked to pick the Subdivision to which you would like to be assigned. Each Subdivision will have a dedicated call board listing all assigned personnel. You are free to request a transfer to another Subdivision at any time after completing your probation period. Please Note: We will not be changing you on a whim. A good reason will be required. Each Division is currently made
up of four or five Subdivisions. You may run
intra-divisional work orders that take you to the
other Subdivision within your Division.
You may also run inter-divisional work orders
that take you to another Division and on to other Subdivisions.
Until you complete a work order that returns you to your home division you
will be listed on Temporarily Assigned Duty (TAD). The Crew Callboard
will keep track of your current location based on the last time slip that
you filed. Divisions and Subdivisions are used
to retain the real world flavor of our operation. By assigning engineers
a Home Subdivision we hope that they will develop a Divisional
Pride that will motivate them in inter-divisional challenges and competitions.
