4. You should be able to complete two P&A work orders a month. Please do not join and just sit inactive. If you do so you will be quickly deleted from the roster. We don't waste your time, please do not waste ours. It takes away from our fun time. For each new application there is a lot of work being done behind the scenes (yeah, that ol’ paperwork…).

5. You should be able to complete a work order for any of P&A's adopted routes.

6. You should be able to drive a train, i.e.; release brakes, choose direction, work throttle, blow whistle, throw switches, stop train at a station, uncouple/couple cars.

7. Knowing how to use monitor windows helps:

8. You should familiarize yourself with P&A's Operations Manual, Staff Guidelines and Engineer Orientation.

9. You should be able to find the appropriate download files. You will find instructions in read-me files inside the zipped files. Always read all text files included with a download!

10. You should be able to do all of the above without assistance from anyone. That is what makes you an elite engineer. You must be able to accomplish all of the above on your own. If you are unable to do so you should not apply. Assistance with these common MSTS tasks will not be provided here!

11. After you complete your application, (link below), the next step in the completion of the application process is the sending of an email to the HRD with an indication of the Sub-Division to which you would like to be assigned.

There are 30 choices. They are:

IMPORTANT! * READ THE FOLLOWING LINES * IMPORTANT!

Please choose one of the above Sub-Divisions. Then send an email to hrd @ vparr.com (remove the spaces of course) with your Sub-Division choice as the subject.

Upon receipt of your selection the Human Resources Department will evaluate your application and respond within a few days.

You need to do the above after PATS sends you an email.
