Pacific & American Railroad Training/Certification

The Pacific & American Railroad does not offer a training program of their own. Our engineers are required to be proficient in the safe operation of motive power in a variety of situations within the MSTS environment. We do encourage additional formalized training for those engineers who are not currently certified. The Pacific & American Railroad recognizes the courses offered by either NERR or OVS. It is out policy to reward those engineers that have invested additional time to earn the various certifications in diesel, steam and passenger operations. Each engineer that has successfully completes one of these courses should notify the Human Resources Department with all pertinent information such as course name, date of completion and certification number. To show the value that he Pacific & American Railroad places on these certifications each engineer will receive a 10% pay increase upon the completion of each course. This policy also applies to those engineers that may have completed a course prior to joining us at the Pacific & American Railroad. Please allow a reasonable time delay for us to update your records.
